Clemson Tigers
Like a dagger to the heart, many Clemson fans were a bit despondent earlier this week over news that Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp signed a coach-in-waiting deal with the Longhorns. This effectively took him out of the head coaching prospect pool for not only Clemson but Tennessee and other schools that may have had him on their hit ...

I agree with the author that Muschamp staying on at Texas for a future head-coaching stint is good for the Tigers. In my mind, there is only ONE coordinator out there who would make a good head coach at Clemson, and that's Bud Foster. Lane Kiffin appears to be a favorite right now as well, and other than those two, I don't see anyone else coming to forefront right now. I'll be honest here: I hope the Tigers LOSE the next two games, so that TDP is forced to dump Dabo. Iam tired of being fooled by coaches like this guy who coaxes out victories when their back is against the wall to hang around, only to keep this program second-tier, a lot like TB did. Clemson simply doesn't need that deception anymore. Let's move to the next level.

I also concur with Spawn's assessment of looking at black coaching candidates. The best one I can see out there is Strong at Florida, a very viable guy, and Iam amazed that no media has mentioned him.
