Clemson Tigers
For the first time in four years, the Clemson Tigers are readying themselves for a future without their former starting quarterback, Charlie Whitehurst. In the now permanent absence of their ex-four-year starter, who is now with the NFL's San Diego Chargers, the Tigers will be starting senior Will Proctor. In his time at Clemson, Proctor has sat...

Charlie had no time, no running game, and no recievers that would actually catch the ball in 2004. And how about Charlie's 49 school records and three years of Proctor behind him? Nothing against Proctor, i'm looking foward to him leading the tigers next year. However, i don't see any reason to say that Whitehursts absence will not be noticed. Proctor will run the ball more because he can't throw the ball downfield like Charlie could. Also, i don't have the numbers but not to many Clemson quarterbacks have been drafted. Also, from what I have read the Chargers are happy to have Whitehurst in their program. Also, second leading all time passer in the ACC.

I am looking forward to Wiill Proctor playing this year. He should have played more last year and maybe we would have won a few more games. Will is as good or even better QB than Charlie. Will is not afraid of running the ball. and he can throw as good as charlie. The only difference between them is Will is not afraid of being sacked. Charlie if he thought he was going to be sacked he threw the ball anywhere. I will miss Charlie, But I look forward to seeing Will every saturday on the field .

Will Proctor should have never been allowed in a Clemson uniform. He has cost the tigers talented team so much this year. I say good ridance, and am looking foward to the Willy Korn era.
