There are those who stand by what Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden stated prior to the Music City Bowl last year, that Clemson was "one point away" from the Atlantic Division title in the ACC. Meaning that Clemson, which ended the regular season at 8-4 (5-3), was: 1) One play away from beating Boston College (C.J. Spiller rush for 4-yard loss in...

I agree. I'm glad someone pointed this out! It's time for Tommy to win or shut up. (Yes, I said that this past year, and was hoping our AD (TDP) had grown some .... but he hadn't and so we still have Tommy).

I'm so tired of the "mediocre" crowd who says "who are we going to hire if we fire a coach at 8-3...". We are no different than lets say UGA, who fired Jim Donnon with a similar, if not better record than Tommy. Look at who they hired, Richt, with no HC experience, but they made a good hire that has paid dividends. Nine years and no ACC championships to show...it is time to put up, or shut up for Bowden. There are no more excuses, the fact that Harper has no experience is Bowdens fault...but we will hear this often this fall, yada yada yada, new qb again, yada yada yada. Atlantic division champions or we need a new coach, the time for mediocrety is over...it is time to expect more from our fb coach. Who are we going to hire? I'll trust TDP (or whomever is our AD) to make a quality hire, as they did with OP.
