Clemson defensive end Phillip Merling announced Thursday he will not return for his senior season and will instead enter April's NFL draft. "I advised him to remain for his senior year, but he felt this was the best decision for his future," coach Tommy Bowden said. "I will help him any way I can as he prepares for the draft." Our chances of playing for an ACC title in 2008 dropped significantly when we extended that idiot Bowden's contract.Even with the loss of James and Merling, who in our division has more overall talent and team speed than CU? None of them! However,in this crazy,PARITY filled world of college football, coaching is king and that's why CU will continue to lose more than they should every year. Thanks again Terry DUM Phillips.

In today's world of college football, good, solid coaching is a must, and with so many players leaving college early for the mega-bucks in professional sports, it makes the job of coaches even harder. So, when you have talent you better get the most out of it before it gets away. TB has failed to do this at Clemson, and yes,
Clemson still has more team speed and physical talent than any other team in their division, but we know where that's taken them in the past: nowhere. The only way for the fans of Tigertown to get delivered out of the endless, spinning carousel of 7-5 and 8-4 runs is to do the obvious: give the man his pink slip and find someone
who CAN get this speed and talent to perform at their potentials.
