College Football
Earlier this spring, Big East members Rutgers and Connecticut had a similar experience with Notre Dame, but with quite different results. In both cases, the Irish wanted to set up a six game home-and-away series -- except that under their proposal, the Big East schools' "home" games would actually be held at larger, NFL-sized facilities....

I agree with you except for the last line:

Rutgers stadium expansion would have been completed by the first proposed ND game. it's not about the seat capacity (otherwise, no game at BC). it's about getting more of the money for tix sales (& TV) while taking away home-field advantage.

Mountaineer Field is NOT 48 years old. New Mountaineer Field or Mylan Puskar Stadium at Mountaineer Field as it is now called was opened in 1980.

Old Mountaineer Field is where the team played from 1924 - 1979.
