I think a great amount of professional heat would be taken off of Rodriguez if he beats the Buckeyes. Especially if there is a BCS bowl on the line for the archrivals. The healing process will start 15 minutes after the game is over on what has been a long first season for him. He's bringing in recruits to fit his system, but I think at the same time this past weekend, everyone wondered...."where has this been all year!?" collectively.

It also is a case study for why maybe platooning QBs, regardless of whether or not you know which one really has a leg up, is a bad idea. Tressel made the total switch to Pryor and it's worked out. Both Threet and Sheridan have played much, much better when they didn't have to look at the sidelines to see who's warming up behind them. In a season chalk full of learning processes, for Rich, this one might be the most valuable.
