If you’re ever looking for spirited opinions on anything college pigskin, Alabama might not be a bad place to start. Those opinions won’t be of an on-the-fence nature, either. So, when CBS announced that it was moving the hallowed Iron Bowl game between Alabama and Auburn to Friday from its traditional Saturday afternoon spot, the schools' fans...

I didn't think of high school games...mostly because not even the apocolypse would deter fans from showing up en masse to the Iron Bowl in that state. I wouldn't like the game time slot if I were a fan either, however. I can't imagine Michigan-Ohio State on a Friday night. I guess the more exposure the better. This is a great football game though with an atmosphere that hopefully once the nation sees, will make it a can't miss game regardless of the time slot. Not to diminish the Jeweled Shillelagh game that gets more pub, but the passions run much higher overall from players down to fans in the Iron Bowl. It's the only rivalry I've seen that has a Michigan-OSU atmosphere year round.

Hey Mr Bart Dean... The Alabama- Auburn Game "Iron Bowl" deserves all respect. so you saying "respect it not deserves." (paragaph 4 last sentence) sure must be a mistake. We fans in Alabama love our football games. And I agree with the 78% that say it sucks it was moved. National coverage who cares. Its a game. Alabama is #2 in the BCS and Couches poll and #1 in the AP poll. and by the time the Iron Bowl rolls around they will be the #1 team in the Nation. so National coverage will happen. whether the game stayed on Saturday or not. ROLL TIDE!
