Dallas Cowboys
With a little tweaking, the Dallas Cowboys can compete for a Super Bowl next year. Here are five suggestions that will move the Cowboys closer to their goal of a championship: 1. Pray Parcells returns. Surprisingly, the Cowboys fell apart in the last month of the regular season. And while that was very uncharacteristic of a Bill Parcells-led...

Even though T.O was some what of a distraction.Toward the end he wasnt to bad. I wouldnt say that Parcells isnt on bord with it.Yes they do need a pass rushing end but I think they should stay young and draft one. Then sign a good free safety ,or maybee keep Tony Parish .He did sign with the team late in the season . With a full camp he mite work out .One more thing no one talked about the Tyson Thompson injury I think it was critical because we lost a good kickoff return guy if u look at all of his returns this season before he got hurt .Then look at all of the teams returns after he got hurt . Theirs alittle bit of a difference in the average. Thats good feild position that they lost .Well enclosing if they make those changes and get players back like Greg Ellis and Tyson Thompson I think they will be pretty stout next year.

It would be a shame to let T.O. go, but given a Bill or T.O., I'd take Bill.
Now for the Pass Rush... we do get Greg Ellis back who has been our best and most consistent rusher over the years, but we do need to sign a guy, Either Justin Smith, or the highly coveted Adalius Thomas would fit us perfectly.

The defensive backfield could be fixed with a few adjustments. Terence Newman is an elite corner in the NFL, Roy is an elite Box safety, Anthony Henry is a good corner who may be moved to safety to take advantage of his size and cover skills. We really only need to add one starter, and maybe a future replacement in the Nickel defense.
I agree with Gurode and Columbo. But we do need someone who can take over for Rivera at right guard because he's 35 and coming off his 2nd back surgery in less than 3 years. He also got pushed back a considerable amount last year.

I agree, the Cowboys most dying need is at pass rushing. If available at 23 in the draft, I believe a hybrid OLB/DE like Lamar Woodley or Quentin Moses would fit perfectly. Being that Greg Ellis (who's not big enough in weight to consistently play end)will be back, one of these future rookies can take his position on some downs and move behind in other situations. Then I think we should address other needs as OL and DB later in the draft and/or free agency. Moving Anthony Henry to safety seems very promising especially giving his tackling abilty(3rd on the team) and coverage experience. We can look for his replacement via draft or free agency. Even though T.O. led the league in TD's(13)this past season he dropped about 20. Maybe that will improve with a cured finger but who knows, thats what T.O. has done over his career. Likewise I would rather take Parcells in a heartbeat. Parcells has mentioned columbo showing good signs but Rivera's reoccuring back problems at his age concern me.
