Dallas Cowboys
Bill Parcells' recent retirement announcement wasn't just surprising to Dallas Cowboys fans. It even caught Mike Francesa, Parcells' close friend, off guard. YES,when dallas is in the nfc championship game next year and possibly the super bowl, bill will miss the game but as a dallas fan for 30 years the fans do appreciate the roster bill has put in place to be competitive for years to come,it beats the years we had to suffer through the chan gailey and campo drafts,we now actually have some serious talent!!!!

The cowboys are on the decline. The last two games were embarrasing to someone like Parcells in that the team had no discipline and got beaten by two teams that were really no good at all. There is a point in coaching any team where you realize they are not going to get any better than they are at that moment and all they can do is probably get worse. Parcells put the team together and it didn't end up working. The smart coaches walk away. The dumb coaches try to hold on or force a team to be what it isn't....and they end up destroying themselves & the team and getting fired.

Parcells is a really smart guy and part of the reason why he is so smart is that he has never valued a coaching job so much that he would not walk away from it.

Bruce you have no hope with the cowgirls... Look at all the posts you get. Maybe 2 or 3 an article. Come to the dark side Bruce, your wife did. Parcells was a smart man to leave. I hear owens is going to be coach because no one else wants to deal with his crap.
