I actually saw the interview that was earlier this week. Greg Ellis did not say he wanted to leave Dallas, this article is inaccurate. He said he does not like to be left unsure of his future (inferring he wants to meet with jerry)

Dallas seems to have signed a number of younger players, however, without the veterans to teach them, the inexperience of the rookies may prove damaging in the short run.

It's not a good thing Ellis is doing this.
