Dallas Cowboys
Dallas ended its three-day minicamp recently, and the new defensive scheme brought over from San Diego by first-year Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips has received some rave reviews. I think Dallas is in position this year to field one of their best teams in years. They are complete in every phase of the game. If Greg Ellis can stop complaining and be the player we all know he is the defense will rank among the leagues best. The offense will finally have the shackles removed from it and score more often than they did. Julius will run wild and Jason Whitten will once again be a pro bowler. What can you say about the recieving core than they are 3 of the best in the league. Terrel & Terry will have monster years. Thanx.

Definitely Dallas needs a shutdown D to get to the Superbowl. The Doomsday Defense did it and even the defense anchored with 5 rookies led by Charlie Waters. No question we need an aggresive defense with a free safety like Neon Deion that can shut down the deep pass completion of a Santana Moss. The doubt is that I don't think the Dallas D has the speed to stop the streaking Moss brothers or an adept receiver like Reggie Wayne. Only time will tell whether the current defensive backfield can match the play of former Dallas backfields.
