Even when the run is not going great it is still important to pound the rock. It wears down the opposing linemen and gets the backs cheating up allowing the recievers to get open for the pass. This is the same mistake made by Cam last season when the Fins (Brown) was taking chunks of yards.

Very accurate article. If the Dolphins continue to run the ball as poorly as they did on Sunday, this season is going to look a lot like last years.

Joe you hit it right on...Cam lost his job because he abandoned the run when it was working and lost many close games. He also didn't have a defense that could stop the run. It's painfully obvious that this crew also has trouble stopping the run as was gleefully discovered by the Jets. It seems like the running game was nonexistent in the second half and absolutely no one on the receiving corp stepped up to make a play. I bet if Chambers was in the back of the endzone on that last play the outcome would have been different....
