Don’t call it a comeback for Pennington

Miami Dolphins
Based upon trends, we can assume that quarterback Chad Pennington's arm will fall off next season, then he will have it surgically reattached like the Six Million Dollar Man in 2010 and win the NFL's comeback player of the year honors for the third time. The Dolphins' Pennington took the award for the second time in three years, an impressive feat...

I could not agree more. His stats may not be flashy, but through shear consistency in leading your 1-15 team to the playoffs as division champs should be worth more than a 'comeback player of the year'.

Manning the MVP? You got to be kidding. Penny had one problem in the voting; his last name is not Farve, Manning, or Rothlessbuger. Manning is playing on a team that has been together for years and with great recievers that have worked with him for a long time. The word on the Dolphins going into the season was that the team had little talent. If that is the case then Penny has worked miracles with little help. I could see if Warner or Cassel was MVP but Maiinig got the nod because of the name and past history. Penny will never get his due on a national level but the team and fans know how great he has been.
