If Pennington is up to the task, starting role should be his in 2010

Miami Dolphins
One of the reasons to love the Miami Dolphins is that their roster is filled with underdogs. Granted, some of the guys on the team are underachievers (Ernest Wilford, that means you). But what team doesn't have its share of players who have yet to realize their potential? In the end, the Dolphins' underdogs far outnumber their busts and nobody...

Pennington is a winner and they should keep him for as long as they can...

Although well written, I'm not sure of the point of this article. Pennington is signed for this coming season, a season which hasn't even started yet. If the team wants him at the end of the year, they can negotiate and sign him just like Carey, Bell, Crowder, etc. except during NEXT YEAR'S offseason. Additionally, such a high percentage of his passes are thrown at short range that it is difficult to tought his accuracy without placing an asterick next to it. Don't get me wrong, he is an above average Quarterback; however, his ceiling is at the 1st round of the playoffs, unless other areas of the team become dominant, like the offensive line AND the entire defense. The last point is that not you, nor anyone outside of management know where Henne is at as far as his talent and his level of development. For all any of us know, you can be calling for the next John Elway to ride the bench!

Pennington is a proven winner, but Tony brings up a good point, he has only been a first round playoff kind of guy. He needs a great supporting cast to get to the next level....a solid defense would help.
