With so much focus on offense and defense, special teams often goes ignored in the NFL. But ask any Buffalo Bills fan about Scott Norwood's kick or New England Patriots fans about having their hopes resting on the steady leg of Adam Vinatieri for so long, and it becomes clear that the league's oft-ignored positions are vitally important. Mr. "juno", let me begin with it is not my desire to get in some kind of debate with you so please consider that fact. However, special teams is just as important as the offense and defense of ANY team. Games can be won or lost with the special teams. Like Norwoods infamous kick in Superbowl 25 or the so-called "miracle play" or whatever it is referred to as in regards to the game winning special teams play when Buffalo played the Titans in that playoff game. I believe it was a bad call but the end result remains the same. Also was it not one of your coaches points in picking Ted Ginn Jr. made on draft day about his kick return possibilities? But anyways, I just thought I'd mention it to you. Have a nice day. (Editor's note: I accidentally deleted Juno's comment a few minutes ago, thinking it was a duplicate. My apologies. -- Alex Guzman)

I agree with your analysis in part. However, you fail to fully analyze the kicking % differences between Mare and Feely. First, Feely's % is lower, but he kicked in NY, which is cold, windy, and all round is a much harder environment to kick in than Miami. Second, I would like to see a comparison the last 2 years of the kickers, as Mare's % really tapered off in the last 2 years.
