Good, insightful article with meaningful stats to back it up. Nice job. I think Miami's two FBs are going to be a boon to the offense. I also liked the way Cam & Randy signed a worthy vet to bring along a promising rookie. This position should be set for years to come.

When your OL is suspect, the use of an H-back or a Fullback helps. It is less useful when you have an OL that can do its job consistently. A lightning quick HB is only as fast as his blocker until he gets through the line. It would be better to not have to rely on a FB to open holes.

The Chargers and Seahawks have great offensive lines yet still employ fullbacks regularly. And sure enough they have two of the best runners in the league.
