I am pumped for the season to start love opening weekend! I have to say the Mauia story reminds me a bit of Zach Thomas. I recall the Dolphins brought in Jack Del Rio for a solid veteran linebacker. He ended up getting cut and beat out by some rookie 5th round pick named Zach Thomas. Same sort of feel with Mauia beating our Schlesinger.

I think Cam does deserve some credit with getting some solid players in the draft as well as motivating where need be. LJ Shelton and Ronnie Brown were both put in a situatin where they had to earn their starting spots. I hope Cam has sent a clear message to all the veterans. Show up to camp in shape or be prepared to fight for your starting spot.

Now the ultimate tests starts this Sunday as we really learn just where the Dolphins are at now.

Washington was only 27th against the run last season. It is Miami that was eighth against the run.

Off the subject but does anyone think we should try to get Reche Caldwell since he was released from the PATS? He might be a good addition.
