Miami Dolphins
Surprisingly, everybody's favorite whipping boy in Miami, 2006 first-round pick Jason Allen, is suddenly the bright beacon of hope in the Dolphins' beleaguered secondary. Since entering the starting lineup in Week 8 after starter Renaldo Hill went down with an ACL injury, Allen has been nothing short of fantastic at the free safety position. The...

As a diehard fins fan, I cant say that I ever considered Allen a bust, only on the simple fact that Satan (Saban) never used him correctly and hell like was stated above... Camron was not using him at all untill he was forced to... and as a season ticket holder I must say through a very tuff season... there were 2 uplifting things to watch... Ronnie Brown who was leading the league in yards from scrimmage and I think would have been a lock for a ticket to Hawaii if he would have not been injured... and Jason Allen... who seems to be all over the feild... hitting everything that stands in his way... The other Fin fans around me were still not concived but I am liking what I am seeing from him and I think he will have a bright future with Miami and I really think Parcells will keep him around...

fan expectations fanned by ice-pick media about an already wounded team in a place proudly used to winning -- may be an instructive part of the story? pushes and warps so many things. its why i really resist any slamming of the judgment gavel on ted ginn, either, as some want to. isn't he, age wise, only a senior in college at this point? he stays smart and healthy, and he gets more dangerous. also, while i'd like cleo to stay in miami as back up, it would be nice to have someone to throw to ginn next year. who we gonna call?

Ted Ginn was actually pretty good. How many returns did he have called back? I can remember at least 2 TD's he had overturned, and I only saw them play twice. Can anyone do the stats on TG and see what he would have actually done with NO penalties on his returns? Is that even possible? BTW, one of the games I saw was a great one for Jason Aleen, I was shocked because all I've ever heard was he is lousy. Looked good to me!
