Fantasy Football
Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson is a player who will typically be drafted toward the end of the fourth round (possibly later) in most fantasy drafts. A major reason for that is the fact he’s been bitten by the injury bug on two different occasions during his five-year career. With that said, it’s important to look beyond those ...

Johnson certainly has the talent to put up huge numbers but I'm still not totally sure that Schaub and the line in front of him are going to be good enough to allow him to post those numbers. Plus, with a run offense that ranked 22nd in YPG, teams might be able to key in on him. Either way, I think he's definitely a top 5 receiver that might even post the league's best numbers at the position should he stay healthy.

Weren't there reports out of OTAs that he needed and got more surgery on the same knee that he hurt in 2007? Let's hope he shakes any ill effects off. He could put up big numbers, no matter who's playing QB.

The fear of injuries and a questionable quarterback might not prevent him from posting huge numbers but it's definitely something to keep in mind when it comes to fantasy drafting. You might not want to risk a pick on someone who has had issues with injuries, especially in round two. A lot of times with receivers, you have to take in consideration who is throwing to them. A big-time receiver with a better quarterback is going to post better numbers than a big-time receiver with a weak arm at QB.
