Derrick Ward's career-best day came with a big price. While rushing for 154 yards against Chicago, the New York Giants' leading rusher suffered a season-ending broken left leg. The Giants put him on injured reserve two days later and signed rookie running back Danny Ware from the Jets' practice squad to take Ward's spot on the active roster.
