The combination of Jeremy Shockey's arrival at minicamp and Plaxico Burress's absence has Giants fans weighing the difference between the two. Along with that, the onset of Giants minicamp has been highlighted by multiple injuries, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News. I think it is absolutely ridiculous for both Jeremy Shockey and Plaxico Burress to already be causing trouble. Although Burress played a huge role in the Super Bowl run, I got news for him, he just signed a large contract fairly recently. Live with it Plax. As far as Shockey is concerned, I think it is time for the Giants to cut ties with him. All this guy does is cause division and make everything about him. The only evidence needed to prove that the G-Men can win without him is last year's playoffs. It would be of great benefit for General Manager Jerry Reese to get rid of this problem before it escalates to a point the Giants, or their fans do not want it to.

I agree Shockey is a locker room cancer, and it's all about him. Plaxico just signed a big deal, and now he wants more, if he wanted more he should have tried to get it when he first signed with the Giants. Shockey is expendable with David Boss at TE, who knew division 2 players could handle the NFL like he does.

I am glad more fans see what a distraction Jeremy Shockey is. With the emergence of Kevin Boss, the Giants should be in great position for many years to come. He has the temperment to be a big star in this league. I think he has a little Mark Bavaro in him. One thing is for sure, if Shockey is with the Giants at the beginning of the season, it will greatly hamper their chances at a repeat, which will be hard enough under perfect circumstances.
