Giants wideout woes?

With no Plaxico or Amani this season, Giants fans everywhere have been asking what their team plans on doing about their receiver situation. The Giants are without a doubt a playoff contender, but do they still have all the pieces which made them Champions in 2007? One can argue that Plaxico's...um...mishap toward the end of last season not only...

They said the same thing about the New Orleans WRs two years ago. Then a 7th round draft pick from Hofstra (named Colston) plus a released QB (named Brees) changed everyone's mind and they are now rated the top passing offense in the NFL.

I, for one, expect the Giants to have the best WR group in the NFC East this year. Oh, by the way, you left out a guy by the name of Manningham (who just happens to be the real deal)..................................

Much of the success of the Giant passing offense will not be so much up to the talent of the WR group (which I believe to be potentially excellent), but in Gilbride (aka "Kill Drive") who is a very rigid offensive coordinator and was not able to adapt the passing game last year after Plaxico decided to catch one of the few bullets thrown his way last year.

I hate the Giants for personal reasons that stem back when the Bills Norwood missed field goal allowed the Giants to win.

Anyway witht hat said the giants are definatley play off material. They should of scooped up T. Owens !

Roy, a few quick notes; the Chargers didn't sign Brees to an extension because they had Rivers (in the salary cap world, you can't pay everyone). How often do you get lucky with a 7th rounder? And finally, Manningham catches 4 balls for 65 yards in a season and suddenly he's the "real deal"?
