I think it seems a little excessive what Jacksonville gave up so they could draft Harvey. The Vikings gave up one pick less to acquire a proven DE, Jared Allen. I would think the Jags could have given up only two picks to get Taylor.

The only problem would be Taylor's uncertain playing future. Who knows how much longer he'll play??

the more interesting question is why did they not bid harder for Jared Allen. Taylor has one season left ... maybe 2 at best ...

the Jags are close they don't need taylor or allen but they could
make Derrick Harvey and Quentin Groves into better players then they already are and plug them in for 6 years!
