how can you use vertically challenged to describe a receiving corp that is 6-4, 6-6 and 6-4....

Chris, vertically challenged was in quotes because it is referring to the inability to stretch defenses vertically. It means that they aren't deep threats, not that they aren't tall. Hope that clears it up for you.
