A correction--Pennington's second surgery was in October 2005, not February 2006 (his first surgery was in February 2005). I tend to think Pennington's run of injuries is more bad luck than anything else, as he was never injured in college. Whiny Jets fans are forgetting that out of the four years Pennington has started they made the playoffs three years. Not bad for a "fragile" quarterback, hmm? As for the stockpiling, Ramsey proved a bust for the Redskins, Clemens' arm strength and leadership are questionable, and Smith is a WR although the Jets may try making him another Antwaan Randle-El. If the Jets were that desperate for a quarterback they would have taken Leinart or Cutler instead of D'Brickashaw Ferguson with their pick.

I`m so tired hearing about Chad`s injuries. A quarterbacks biggest fear is to get hit from the blind side, that`s why Mangini "overhauled the offensive line". Trust me, Protect Chad and he will be excellent.
