Ah, blame it on the schedule

Detroit Lions
As in too many of the last 50 years of football, Detroit Lions fans were again left disappointed by their team’s fate last season. What made 2007 particularly egregious for their backers was the complete and utter collapse suffered by the Lions after jumping out to a seemingly playoff-bound 6-2 start. But was the great 1-7 second-half dump...

I have to agree with you. I'm a Charger fan. Some years, we suffer from the same kind of schedule stacking, similarly, the easiest games are up front with a crushing schedule in the last 6-8 weeks and it's not just because our division is tough. In 2007, the Chargers were on the road, 5 out of 6 weeks while playing in the east during the second half of the season.

While the Chargers are not fodder like the hapless Lions, some of the best players in the NFL are on the team, fans feel there's a bias since they aren't the Cowboys, Giants....etc.

You have my sympathy.

To be the best, you have to beat the best. Teams face the opponent in front of them and they have to beat them, the Bills had the toughest schedule in the league last season and we didn't complain, the Bills also face New England twice a year. You can't have sour grapes because the Lions played good teams, the Lions should try Winning, it was an obvious choke job by the Lions and Kitna. What do you want next year, the schedule to change because the Lions start off well, so in the 2nd half they only have to play sub 500 teams? Give me a break, man up and win.
