Detroit Lions
Only in the realm of the Detroit Lions could a win-win situation become a lose-lose months before the season’s first snap. To wit, the continuing controversy over 2008 draft pick Caleb Campbell. Arguably the highlight of draft Sunday in April, the selection of Campbell at No. 211 overall by the Lions had the Radio City audience crying out...

The Lions only drafted Campbell for the PR coverage. The Lions were trying to create a buzz by drafting the man from Army who wouldn't have to serve in America's current Oil War for George W Bush. The Vietnam War was fought for Oil controll, and and so is the Iraq war. If we could start using alternative means of energy to fuel our cars, players from the service schools could just play in the NFL without the fear of going to fight our politicians and oil companies wars.

Campbell is a sub par talent, and won't be much of a factor on the football field, but keeping him from fighting is the best thing the Lions could do.

When the Lions fire Millen, then we can discuss them.
