The reason why the Brett Favre situation has become so annoying is because writers continue to cover it. Of course the news he is coming back should be reported, but to respond to every rumor involving Favre and writing about how annoying the whole saga is just makes it worse.

That fact that Favre gets his own little ticker icon on ESPN's bottom line along with MLB, NBA and all the others makes me want to throw my TV out my window
