| You put one hell of a spin on this article didn't you? You seem to have forgotten the part of the contract that says he only gets this big contract if he performs his first year. If he doesn't perform, the Lions can cut him loose - no strings attached. Maybe I should be writing these articles. I'm more informed. http:www.detroitslions.com | ||

| Denny, anybody can be cut loose at anytime in the NFL, that's not the point. A salary offer like this screws up the pay scales. So essentially, any average Joe corner on a lousy defense, with nobody up front stopping the run, can rack up 70-90 tackles in one season and then cash in the next. Bodden is not that good and he's injury prone. It's stupid contracts like these that drive ticket prices up. | ||
