The Detroit Lions made their biggest move of the offseason by acquiring not one, but two quarterbacks who have been recent starters in this league. While some fans bemoaned the selections and accused Detroit's front office of going with the easy "retread" route, these two veterans bring much to the table for a franchise desperately seeking...

I am in SHOCK that the Lions passed on Matt Leinart. He would have been able to get the ball to all the talented wide receivers on the roster (Roy Williams, Charles Rogers, Mike WIlliams) and would have sold a lot of tickets.

Brad, don't be shocked, dude. Marinelli doesn't want fireworks out there, just competence. Remember, he's all about the D...this is a guy who was on the coaching staff of Shaun King's Buccaneers, a team that was one Kurt Warner bomb away from playing in the Super Bowl...

Marinelli may be boring (cf. "...would have sold a lot of tickets"), but he may just get the job done with his fiftieth-percentile blue collar boys Kitna and McCown.
