Detroit Lions
Detroit was empty of trauma or heart-attack inducing play for Lions fans last week; that was thanks to the bye week, a brief respite from the phenomenon known as Detroit football. Whats the point of attacking the Lions every week (win, lose or now not even play)? Calvin Johnson was a good pick and they are moving in the right direction. They are not winning every week, but they have stopped losing to teams that are worse than they are (Chicago, Oakland, Minnesota). If they just stop doing that, they can probably get close to 8-8. This is not a bad year for the Lions. If you want to fire Millen, you should go around the NFC and fire people at Chicago, Minnesota, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Washington, San Francisco, Tampa, Arizona, St. Louis and probably some more. The Lions are a bad team getting better. half the NFC are bad teams getting worse.

The admission in the article that the Raiders are an "inferior" team compared to the Lions makes all the abuse worth it. I guess when your job is hyping things like that "classic" Raiders/KC matchup this weekend, you need somebody else to bitch about. And Fire Al Davis. No matter how bad Millen does, Al Davis is doing worse.

They won again. 4-2 now and still undefeated at home.
