Rich's offense showed signs of life today, kind of the way someone would twitch an eyebrow after 2 months of being in a coma. But an angry Rich after the game seemingly has conceded what fearful UM fans knew all along...this was going to be a rebuilding year, HIS way, and something silly like actually worrying about winning games wasn't going to stop him.

The defense looked horrific, however. No excuse a team ranked in the top 25 in defense last year returning 8 starters should EVER look so terrible. Scott Shafer may have a short stay in Ann Arbor. Stanford's (his short stay before coming to UM) looks better on defense since his departure. Ouch.
