"After going 9-4 overall last fall, including a resounding defeat of California (45-10) in the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl, head coach Dennis Franchione welcomes back a crew of players who can get the job done on the ground"

Cal on the game 45-10. I think you meant "...a resounding defeat BY California..."

After how Coach Franchione treated his players at Alabama when he left the program, I hope he loses every game he coaches and never gets hired again. He didn't even have the courage to tell his players himself that he was leaving and why.

Hey Footballfan, do you suppose Dennis Franchione is a alumni of the Steve Pederson school of ethical sports behavior???

I don't think Dennis even comes close to what Husker Nation has witnessed since Steve Pederson took over as AD.

OMG... a Longhorn fan such as myself can laugh at this article because everyone knows A&M is going to get crushed this season to the tune of 7 or 8 defeats. Now, 'bigredfred' is still crying in his cheerios because Solich is gone. Big Red Nation is fortunate to have Callahan because he brings some respectability to Nebraska and the Big12... unlike QB-right QB-left Solich.
