Balmer is a 1 year wonder and a huge reach.
Nolan can stack this defense with as tweener players as he wants it doesn't help Smith who will be the Berry Zito of the 9ers.

I was a little disappointed the Vikings didn't get Smith, until we got Jared Allen.

From the 49ers' perspective, you have to do what you can to help your big investments (aka, big free agent signees) succeed.

Smith is a joke compared to allen,I'm so glad he is not in the afc west anymore.
Oh by the way with a rooky at lt for 2 teams in the north allen will get 2 sacks per game min thets 8 against 2 of your div rivals congrates to you on winning the north this year!
