San Francisco 49ers
To quote LL Cool J, "Don't call it a comeback," because the Eagles' 40-26 victory over San Francisco last weekend was more of a colossal collapse for the 49ers. The Niners has a cushy lead, 26-17, before allowing 23 unanswered points to Philly and a lot of it was thanks to quarterback J.T. O'Sullivan, who continues looking like the journeyman he ...

I see where you're coming at with O'Sullivan being the problem, but his piss-poor performances shouldn't rest all on his shoulders.

How are you going to put so much faith into a player that has just had his 6th career start in a Martz offense that continually puts pressure on his QB? He has been sacked 23 times within 6 games. Well on pace to break the 51 sacks Jon Kitna received last year. Detroit last year gave up 54 total sacks -- one less than the 49ers (last year). It's impossible for a quarterback to have success with that kind of pressure being constantly thrown in his face (especially behind an offensive line that seems to not have a clue of what pass protection is).

Nolan is a big contributer to last week's loss against the Eagles. Poor in-game decisions, and terrible defensive schemes (that don't seem to compliment the players' abilities) crippled any chance to stop the Eagles' career backup tailback and his run game and a depleted WR corps. Our coveted secondary and their abundance of experience and wisdom are currently ranked 20th in yards allowed per game (and the defense is 26th in total yards allowed per game).
We have a lot of money invested into our defense but for some damn reason can't get anything clicking right. Nolan's the supposed defensive guru but seemingly can't utilize ANYONE right on his team.

The fans are losing their patience, I'm sure Nolan is losing his players, and I'm wondering if the Yorks view their team as a tax write off.

I figured this guy wasn't going to be the answer to their QB problems.

The Niners are doomed for failure with JTO at QB.
