San Francisco 49ers
In San Francisco, it's BYOB. Bryant Young Opting Back. It took the 35-year-old defensive tackle a couple of months to decide, but coach Mike Nolan convinced him to return for a 14th season. Young signed a one-year deal that will pay him $4.25 million this year. "I feel like I'm still able to go out there and make the plays that are asked of me,"...

Who would have known we'd slide downhill so fast & for so long. Since Mooch left what exactly happened since dominating the 80's w/what BWalsh built & GSeifert carried on? Salary cap hell, bad drafting by Donahoe & Erickson, family feuds, losing Eddie D & now settling w/his sister & JYork. Unbelievable, what a soap opera & an embarrassment. I hope we can finally settle down & keep the stability we have with the young, smart, HC+Assts/Personnel-Scouting/FrOffice guys we have & steadily climb back up the mountain. Just keep the faith in your staff, follow the plan & sign the checks Dr York. BYoung, what more can you say? The ultimate soldier & mentor for our young Dlinemen. With the plan of him taking less snaps he's still in phenomenal shape & can make plays. It's his leadership that's invaluable for developing the line. He could be a great DLine coach for us esp after the 08' Draft when we should target a stud NT &/or DE. Big props to BYoung & his service & dedication to our 49ers..we salute you!!

BY is an inspiration to this team. That 4.2 mil might be the best money spent on the team - Not only will he teach the rooks how to play the game he's going to inspire a defense that will compete for one of the best D's in the league. The guy is a rock, a stud in every sense of the word. BY's last year might be his best and don't be surprised if he ends the season sport'n some newly acquired bling.
