Very good post. It would be absolutely STUPID to let Harris walk w/out getting something for him. It's called ROI - return on investment, even if we got a 4th rounder it would still be better than getting nothing. And I also agree that w/ all the injuries that happen, Harris is good [not great] insurance since he knows the system. We still need another Staley like lineman since Jennings is so injury prone and getting any kind of draft pick would help parlay picks to move up. GO Niners!

Harris would be a valuable backup for the running game (w/improved pass pro) but should now get backup pay IF we decide to give him an extension which I doubt will happen. If he's not happy w/that or we don't resign him we should try & get a Draft pick for him, hopefully a 4th rounder if possible. He does have VALUE. He's a proven excellent run blocker & w/continued work still has a chance to be an average PASS BLOCKER FOR ANOTHER TEAM. We don't have a lot of leverage since his contract ends this year unless someone's tackle goes down & there's an urgent need. "Niners might cut Harris" ...what are you smoking??? What & get nothing for him & not use him as a backup this year. Are you crazzzzy?!! After developing this guy for how many years & 2 w/Nolan's staff seeing him improve then just cutting him, get real broh.
