San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco closed its season Sunday, losing 20-7 to the Cleveland Browns. The 49ers' 5-11 mark is another in what's becoming a long line of failure for a once-proud organization. The last time the Niners had more wins than losses was 2002, when they went 10-6 and got to the second round of the playoffs. Presently, it's likely difficult for...

Offseason acquistitions that will take us over the hump: Mike Martz as offensive coordinator, Mike Holmgren as General Manager, Donovan McNabb as veteran QB, all new receivers, new offensive guards and a new defensive line and we'll be fine. That's all we need... not too unrealistic huh?

i heard mike martz is gonna be the new offensive coord, they just need to sign the deal. not bad, hopefully he can fix alex or let shaun hill loose. now for a new gm and manager, although with a true off coord, nolan might be alright

Mike Martz should not be our coodinator. He was fired as a coordinator for a reason. The niners are not built for the style of offense Martz has. He has a spead offense guy that needs quick route runners like he did in St. Louis. Niners are a team that needs a power rushing attack to set up the pass. Martz didnt do anything really in detroit even tho he started off strong. The best fit will be Cam Cameron. He worked with young qb in rivers, and dynamic back in LT, and a prolific te in gates. We could use that experience with alex, frank, and vernon. Cam runs a similar offense to norv which we strived in and thats what we need. We cant have Martz coming in trying to throw the ball everywhere when we have mainly possesion recievers
