I like this article. Two things I'd like to add in arguing for BB's greatness. Bill Parcells has never won a Super Bowl without Bill Belichick (def coordinator/coach) but Belichick has won 3 rings without Bill Parcells. Second, John Madden had a great team in the 70's and that was the era of dynasties, Pittsburgh (chuck nolan) and Dallas Cowboys (tom landry) still appeared in and won more super bowls than Madden. That was an era different from todays, where parity reigns supreme. Back then you could pull out a schedule and almost guarantee certain games would be wins. Not anymore, it is now truly "Any Given Sunday" when a Top Dog can go down in flames.
