WOW! another patriots win! another 1000 people jump on the band wagon! We will see how much merchandise the team sells in 4 years when they are dismaly putting together a 4-12 season followed by 2 consecutive 5-11 seasons, then another 4-12 season, then 2 6-10 seasons. How many people will still be jumping on the bandwagon?
Such a fake feeling fan base out there. its pathetic. I wish NFL would have to publish team salaries. Somethign is fishy out there with how pats can afford all these big names. I bet that OLD BASTARD Robert Kraft is paying guys big time money under the table under Bellicheat's request. I want an independant federal investigation into everything Patriots, cuz you know what they say: ONCE A CHEATER, ALWAYS A F*CKING CHEATER!

rich - you're on the right track. I know Pats fans don't want to hear this, (aside from the fact that they WILL go 19-0), but stuff it. There's more than meets the eye with this club, and it's not just a product of good coaching, raw material, and luck.

These Patriots, thick and thin, are a fraud; a product of government conspiracy. I can only chuckle at their naive "faithful" to the point of sympathy. If it weren't for the terrorist atrocities of 9/11, they'd still be scraping the bottom of the AFC East. For a quick recap: following a hideous stint in Cleveland, Belichick compiles a pathetic 5-11 record in 2000, loses to the awful CINCINNATI BENGALS the first game of the 2001 season, and thereafter his underachieving starting QB, supposedly to severe injury, in the first game following the atrocities in NY and D.C (how utterly convenient). Enter rookie Tom Brady, who somehow rallies the entire team to a championship. There is no "I" in the word "team", and arguing even a quintessential quarterback can solve an entire team's problems is beyond asinine, let alone within a season. It is rare in itself when a rookie QB leads a team to the playoffs (ask yourself when was the last time that happened?). Yet, somehow, one of the worst offenses and defenses in the league at the start of the year becomes its juggernaut, ultimately defeating a vastly superior team in the Superbowl ranked 1st on offense and 3rd on defense. Of course, they needed outside help with the "tuck" rule (?!?) to offset an obvious fumble against the Raiders, and in addition to defeat the powerhouse Steelers with Bledsoe (who went 10-21 for a lowly 102 yards that game). If they couldn't beat Cincy with Bledsoe, how the heck did they manage to beat the Steelers in the conference championship in Pittsburgh?? Then, of course, the capper of an ostensible "Cinderella" season, with the classic game-winning long-range field goal, providing the type of ending every kicker dreams of. Good performance, coaching, and fortune, you say? Don't think so. The word, folks, is DESIGN. Why?

It's all about being PATRIOTIC (jingoistic) to blindly support the never-ending imperialistic greed of our troubled politicians and their corporate masters, complete with their professional sports products. It's symbolism right under your noses, and those at the very top of the food chain are obsessed with it. In case you're wondering, the Patriots haven't won every Superbowl since 2001 because that would be too obvious, wouldn't it? But now they have the best players in the league playing at every position, and deliberately intimidate the rest of the league by running up the score. Why? It's what the corporate masters have instructed their professional sports puppet Belichick to do. Why do you think Belichick is a phlegmatic and virtually joyless figure who never wants to discuss his team? The situation parallels the bullies in our presidential admin who are obsessed in destroying helpless third-world countries that never posed a threat to us, only to suit their unbridled arrogance and avarice. Just like Belichick and his tainted quest for a perfect season. The word again, is DESIGN.
