Oakland Raiders
You know that classic pregame cliché about “which team is going to show up for this matchup”? If nothing else and with damnable consistency, the 2008 Oakland Raiders appear to have this one answered: Both. Talk about your tale of two halves. In a rerun. For the second straight week, into the virtual recycle bin went my notes on a...

this game was ours for the taking, and with the donks losing we were right back in the westn hen the bottom fell out, harris is a joke, hall continues to get beat, the defense gives up 25 points in the 4th quarter, cmon man im sick to my freaking stomach right now, what we need is a veteran coach to come in here and manage the game like its supposed to be done, we cannot have rookie quarterback continue to grow with a headcoach who doesn't know how to manage the damn game himself...bring in fassel if you have to and maybe he will bring in billick to be the defensive coordinator,,,something has to change right now.

i may be a little too tough on the defense when i think about it further the offense seem to plain and the playbook seems to only have run-run-pass almost every time...we need to control the clock more and continue to grow as an offense at the same time and not put so much pressure on the defense when it seems that they are always on the field and will tire out more qickly and be exposed for the bi play that continues to do us in every week.

I'll copy my last post from the old thread here, as Os posted his story as I was responding to the old thread.

Raiderz, please give the KeepKiffin.com a rest already. One, a website like that does absolutely ZERO good when it comes to Al Davis. Two, if we wanted to read the posts on the garbage site, we'd go there and read them. Three, I was at the game and didn't see a single damn sign... So where the F--K were these people? Complete waste of time if you think we want to hear it, or that it will do any good.

Funny thing is, I don't believe Kiffin should be fired, and can actually see the bigger problem with our team. That's our Defensive Coordinator. Paul, you bring up Kiffin's record, but please start posting Rob Ryan's record since he's become our Defensive Coordinator. I cannot see anyone who can argue the fact that Rob Ryan sucks as a D-Coordinator. Let's just look at the 4th quarters of this years games. Week 1, gave up 14 points. Week 2, gave up 8 points. Week 3, gave up 17 points. Week 4, gave up 25 points. That's a whopping 64 points allowed in the 4th quarter of this years games, where supposedly a game is won and lost. I'm well aware of the injuries to the defense, but this is not a 1 week occurrence, or a young unit (like our offense is). This has been going on for Years and Years and Years.... Long before Kiffin got here. For those who think the scenario will be different with the Kiffin out, is sadly mistaking. We would still have the same Offensive Coordinator, the same Offensive Line Coach, Same Receivers Coach (unless Lofton was the chosen one), etc. So really, how will firing Kiffin bring about major change. The problem is Rob Ryan, has been and will continue to be until the guy is fired.

If Al Davis really wants to bring about change and is hellbent on firing Kiffin, he should fire Rob Ryan too. To blame Kiffin solely is totally wrong, and the team would see through that in a second, especially the offensive guys who have handed the defense big leads in the 4th quarter of the last 2 games, only to see it give up 17 and 25 points respectively.

Don't they say: "Defense Wins Championships." Well let's get a defensive coordinator in here that will make that a fact.
