Congratulations first of all to the Oakland Raiders for Sunday's fan-pleasing win over the once-prospective playoff Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Not only does Oakland finish a rarely pretty 2008 campaign on a two-game win streak, but the team now seems next to assured of an experienced head coach for next year in Tom Cable. Two W's back to back. Way to close out the season and something positive to end on. Kudos to the Nation. Will be an interesting offseason to say the least.

Well there you have it NATION the topic(s) of the off-season, Coach Cable the long time RAIDERS fan who believes this is his dream job-does he stay or go. The fact Henderson is a way better LT than Harris and Cable should have read my posts after the Dolphins game and stuck with him. The hiring of a GM or Personal Executive, ala Bruce Allen to ease the strangle hold Al Davis has on his beloved RAIDERS. The A$$ beating given to Jon Gruden this morning that forever will be in my game library and watched a few more times as will the other four victories before the start of televised RAIDERS Football in 2009. The signing of Nnamdi & Lechler and no franchise tags on either one-hopefully and the WR stability of Chaz & JLH being complemented by a couple of veterans or one if Carter re-signs and can retain his speed. I look forward to the debates of everything RAIDERS and these last two games have re-kindled my initial thoughts of Coach Cable being the right guy for the job. Anyone else notice that once Kiffin's offensive coaches & Jackson in the front office were fired by Cable following "whats' his name" bolting to the Vols-How good our Offense Played and how good Russell looked as our franchise QB? Is it just me or did we actually see the Offense turn the corner?
