Oakland Raiders
According to most accounts, the Oakland Raiders have put together a very strong 2009 offseason. They’ve dumped dead weight, cut oversized contracts, made some sound investments along the O-line (Khalif Barnes, Samson Satele, Erik Pears) and re-signed their only two Pro Bowlers (Nnamdi Asomugha and Shane Lechler). I could go on about football being a team sport,no ones bigger than the team and so on.Is the QB the most important position on the team ? Yes it is,but remember it wasn't for both Tampa and Baltimore.

Will the season boil down to JaMarcus ? Only......maybe.......perhaps......if we can consistently run the ball and consistently stop the run.

Do bears sh*t in the woods? Thirty two teams start the season putting the weight of the world on their
Quarterbacks. That's why they get paid the big bucks, bring home the Lombardi. After all there can be
only one! I do believe Cable has made some excellent changes and is selling a good tough brand of
team football. Out with the seldom pan out free agents and in with the blue collar get it done kind of
guys.

run the ball and we control the clock, russell will have to get better at hitting miller with the out passes and as long as his accuracy improves the raider offense should improve...what i'm looking for is that impact player on the d-line that will step up and make teams and the opposing Qb make sure and take notice where they are and right now i don't believe the raiders have that type of player.
