Oakland Raiders
It may be March Madness for hoops fans, but for NFL-only fanatics out there, there’s not much madness going on. It’s a slow time of the year for pigskin buffs -- free agency is in the rear-view mirror and the draft is still weeks away. For fans of the Oakland Raiders, it’s been a busy, but not-as-exciting-as-usual offseason. A handful of players...

So now the 2003 Raiders get to take on the winner of the Millen Era Lions tournament, right?

Cheers,
Os.

AC, this was an interesting exercise. It was fun to read. Thanks. I found the results were what I would expect. Rich Gannon was a super QB for us. He was the 2003 squad's biggest advantage. Had his career not been ended in the 3rd game of that season, the Raiders would have won at least 3 more games. We lost our offensive leader, and Kerry Collins could not replace him. None of our QBs since him has come anywhere close. I hope Jamarcus Russell eventually does. He's got what it takes.

A little tired of articles that only go back to 2003 as if the Raiders didn't exist before then.I know you're making the point of how poor the Raiders have been in the last 6 years but I think it's been said so many times that it's almost brain washed some people. The decade started at 2000......the afc west champs, the afc champs and the Superbowl all have seemed to have been forgotten. At least forgotten by those who wish to ridicule and humiliate the Raiders.

Anyway..........Yes,it's a boring time of year.I've watched a lot of old games.......again.I'm thinking about getting my old PS2 out of the back of the cupboard and playing some Madden! Away from football I've worked my way thro' all 5 series of "The Wire".This time of the year sucks.

Have a great weekend everyone.
