The Santa Clara Raiders (shudder)

Oakland Raiders
As though the Oakland Raiders front office, staff and players don’t attract enough rumormongering during the regular season, this week has seen the reintroduction of the annual Raiders-leaving-town gossip. Mainstream sources were awash in both stories of the San Francisco 49ers’ new digs and speculation as to whether the cash-strapped (isn't...

Is it the New Jersey Jets and New Jersey Giants? Is it going to be the Arlington Cowboys this year? Is it gong to be the Santa Clara 49ers? NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Come on Os, I can name lots of NFL teams who don't play in the city of their name.

In this economy, it would be stupid for the Raiders not to consider sharing a stadium if it means it's the only way to get a new state of the art Stadium Built. Fact of the matter is, the Oakland Coliseum is very old and falling apart. Of course I'd rather see them (as well as the A's) have their own stadium in the East Bay, but in this economy, face it, it's not going to happen. Right now, the Raiders are faced with the threat of local blackouts week to week, and this would come to an end if they did go to Santa Clara. The die-hard Raider fans (many even live in the South Bay) will ALWAYS make the trek no-matter what. Also, right now Oakland has close to Zero local corporate support, and would have tons from the Silicon Valley if they have a stadium in Santa Clara. This means more revenue, more exposure, chance to get better free-agents. Best of all, it keeps the Raiders in the Bay Area!!! The lure of Los Angeles on Davis is my biggest fear.

Santa Clara, although not ideal, would put an end to this fear once and for all.

Just call them the Nor Cal Raiders. I have always held on to the fact that the Raiders represent Nor Cal. I will always represent. I am from Nor Cal and feel that the team belongs to the north state. Say what you will about the Raider Nation, but the Raiders will always belong to Nor Cal. Personally, I hate it when fools have a favorite team other than the Raiders or the Niners in Cali. If you’re from Cali you should love one of the two teams. The Chargers don’t count because they are not a real NFL franchise. Sorry to all the civilians of the nation, but I represent Cali first and so do the Raiders

Not much to say, RaiderCraig said it all.

In other news, school rules should change, Mike Mitchell not attending OTA's because of school rules sucks, the rookies are the players who need it most, to learn the football and get used to NFL speed. DHB still injured also sucks.
