Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders went against the grain with their selection of wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey with the seventh overall pick in April's NFL draft; although extremely early, their risk has provided little return thus far. Heyward-Bey has been injured on two different occasions, and with so much invested in the rookie wideout, the Raiders are ...

Heyward-Bey’s injury issues should be a concern for the coaching staff. If he is not on the field, that will change the whole complexion of the season. Higgins and company will have another year of growth, but essentially the same lackluster group will be fielding the WR position. If the WR’s repeat the same production as last season, Russell’s development will defiantly be affected. Hopefully everything will pan out, but I am concerned.

"Mike Mitchell, the safety out of Ohio University and second-round pick, was also running behind. Mitchell also has hamstring issues and wasn’t able to attend OTA workouts because of an NFL rule which says he can’t practice until the University of Ohio spring semester is out."( From yahoo Raiders team report ).

The biggest concern to me is that JaMarcus is still inconsistent. My feeling is if Charlie Frye looks better in preseason we should go with him to go in the regular season. Or Garcia, either one. I don't want to hang on another year to watch JaMarcus "grow".

I say Play JaMarcus 2-3 quarters in all our preseason games. If he isn't dead-accurate sharp we bench him and move on.

Al Davis = Ali Khamenei
