Right on the money Spawn,I couldn't agree more.

Two things I want to add to that.First,I think a lot of stories come from some in the media looking to make trouble and hopefully create a story that will run and run giving them something to write about while the NFL is on holiday.
Second,this is Russell's third season with the Raiders BUT only his second starting.It's a small point but an important one.

We have to see if he can handle temptation off field. He is still very wet behind the ears and millions of dollars and youth don't usually mix very well.

Russell needs to show his committment to playing QB in the NFL to his team and to the fans. Soon as he does, the "hating" will stop. Winning cures all sports ills. He may have everything he needs right now, if the way the Raiders were playing at the end of last season will be how they start this one. Russell reminded me of Kenny Stabler, standing in the pocket like a statue, as Higgens and Schilens were running wild. The pass protection was much improved, and Bush was churning out a ton of yardage. But Russell needs to continue to put in overtime, and get better - bottom line
