Oakland Raiders
For an early second-round draft selection, Oakland Raiders cornerback Stanford Routt sure is an unknown. The 23-year-old defensive back has started in just four games since entering the NFL in 2005, despite being the sixth overall cornerback selected in his draft class. In Routt's four lone starts, the former Houston standout has posted 10...

The Raiders should see a good season from Routt this year. He came into the league pretty raw, but has had a great chance to learn his first couple seasons. Rob Ryan has been great at getting the most out of his young defenders so look for a break out season from routt. I think the whole secondary will benefit from more help at DE and a slimmer sapp. More help up front means quicker throws and more mistakes from opposing qbs see Andrew Walter last season

I highly doubt Routt replaces Fabs as the starter. The person he may replace is Aso but that would likely be next year and only if Aso decides to take the money and run. Routt is going on his third year now and he should be more then ready to see the field. He should be our nickle cb this year but with Darius now here he'll have a battle on his hands. Regardless Routt will get his chance, competition is a good thing and it will only make this entire team better. This has got to be one of the deepest and most talented secondary's in the league in fact it is the deepest hands down. When Routt does finally beconme a starter he will be better because of it. GO RAIDERS!!!

I have high hopes for Routt. Nnamdi is no doubt number 1, But Fabian could get in trouble. I dont think we have to think about the secondary in the future, free agency or draft. On Defense it would be DT and LB's but next years draft class should have some good O-linemen so 2-3 of them and a DT and 2 LB's would be nice in 08...
