OK, so who's this Ricky Brown dude? At the conclusion of Oakland's 27-23 preseason victory over Arizona, the second-year man out of Boston College was atop the tackle chart with eight, all unassisted. And a quick glance at the depth chart shows Brown running No. 2 at middle linebacker behind Kirk Morrison. Last year, Brown was one of Oakland's...

Ricky Brown did look good in the Arizona game, and has a shot to make the roster!! But whats up with Kyle Shotwell. I saw that video going around youtube where the guy played like Lawrence Taylor!! And now I see him in the second half of the Arizona game and the guy stinks it up!! He was out of position and slow!! He also looked undersized to me!! I should have known that video was to good to be true!! Im still pulling for the guy out of San Luis Obispo, but Im not holding out much hope for him!! Maybe it was the nerves!! I would like to see what he can do against the phony-niners!! But if he craps out again, I will be saying bye bye Shotwell!! Nice knowing you!! Lets Go RAIDERS!! Im in!!

Brown certainly did look good in that game. Right now my best gueass at lb's for the 53-man roster are: Morrison, Howard, Williams, Thomas, Eke..., and Brown. I think they'll carry six. I see Shotwell on the dev roster, and that's only if he plays well the rest of preseason.

Good comments, Glory, and blat! I thought signing Shotwell was a good move. A season on the developmental squad may do him some good. He might not be ready, yet. Brown sure looks like he benefited from a year's seasoning. We do need good backup LBs. We've got strong starters already. I'm going to watch the LBs very closely against SF. Hope we've got some diamonds in the rough! Have Faith Raider Nation!
