With Taylor in tow, Skins should shoot for Favre

Washington Redskins
By sending future second- and sixth-round draft picks to the Miami Dolphins for defensive end Jason Taylor on Sunday, the Washington Redskins made it obvious that they're serious about winning a championship in the near future. Why else would they have dealt valuable selections away for a soon-to-be 34-year-old who isn't sure he has more than one...

Great premise, Connor. Snyder would be foolish not to pursue Favre. It's a natural fit for both parties.

However, the praise for Eli Manning seemed a little over the top. "He flat out was a below average QB last year, by just about any statistical method."

I don't think the Skins will go after Favre. It is tempting to pursue him but what would GB want in return. Although everyone can say how Taylor is only going to play two more years, the Skins had a need at DE. They don't have a need at QB. Jason Campbell is going to strive in Jim Zorn's West Coast offense, if not this season, in the seasons to come.

Campbell may very well thrive in Zorn's offense. I guess we'll need to see what Zorn's offense is first. The Zorn hire still looks curious given the past history of first the "old Ball Coach" and then Gibbs, Williams, and Saunders. Working under Snyder's expectations could be quite trying for someone who has never been more than a QB coach.
